This release marks a significant update, introducing support for the newly launched AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card and delivering immediate compatibility with two highly-anticipated games, Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth and TEKKEN 8. One of the standout features of this update is the incorporation of AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF). This technology aims to enhance frame rates substantially, offering potential improvements of up to 97 percent in any DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 game.
Notably, AFMF is compatible with a range of graphics cards, including the AMD Radeon 700M, RX 6000, and RX 7000 series, encompassing both desktop and notebook variants. What sets AFMF apart is its ability to maintain image quality by dynamically deactivating frame generation during periods of rapid visual motion.
AMD asserts that users can experience an average performance increase of up to 97 percent in select titles at 1080p resolution when AFMF and FSR 2 are enabled at Quality Mode on the Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card. Moreover, this performance boost extends to a remarkable 103 percent when utilizing the same settings and the Radeon RX 7600 XT graphics card at 1440p resolution. In addition to AFMF, these new drivers introduce several noteworthy features, including AMD Video Upscaling, various video enhancements, the AMD Smart Technology Tab, AMD Assistant, and enhanced support for additional operating system features. Furthermore, this update addresses several previously identified issues, enhancing the overall user experience.
