Noctua NH-D15 review 3

We review the all new Noctua NH-D15 dual-fan cooler. The new flagship product from Noctua is huge in both size and performance. The successor for the NH-D14 premium CPU cooler has a six heatpipe dual radiator design to improve on cooling performance and noise levels. Obviously what catches the eye is that dual radiator allowing you to use one or even two 140mm fans (included).

How old is that Prime95 version? The new ones (and preferrably the 64-bit on) that use AVX are way, way more stressful and produces more heat. My cpu needs ayt least ~1,25V to be stable at 4,5 GHz without WHEA errors. Hottest core is around 80c in Prime95 when the most demanding workloads start. In normal usage it is nowhere near that though. Still, True Spirit does rather nice job.

All the cooling benchmark tables I've seen to date have always displayed the stock cooler for the processor being tested.

What's the point of that if you can't even test and OCed CPU with it?

All these beefy coolers are made to OC with. You're not gonna buy a 80 Euro CPU Cooler to run it at stock.

IIRC it runs about 5 degrees cooler than my current NH-D14, and it's nearly on par with a H110 under full load. That's not half bad.
