Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming OC review

For a tenner or two more you can purchase the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Gaming 'OC edition' from Gigabyte, a product with more a triple fan cooler as well being factory tweaked towards an 1860 MHz boost frequency. Based on dual fans and improved looks the card performs well on all fronts, including cooling acoustic levels.

* We are migrating towards a new test platform based on the Core i9 9900K - 32 GB DDR4 - Z390. As older benchmarks lowly phase-out, new ones will be tested at 9900K platform. This game has been tested on the new platform.

The 1660 Ti is a very interesting card. Strange naming, and sort of hybrid architecture. Personally I think it's the "sweet spot" card that Nvidia has been needing for a long time. I've read and watched pretty much every review of different models and I don't see the point in spending an extra $20-$30 dollars for a gaming version. My MSI Ventus version with it's two fan's overclocks just as good as any other model. $279 is a great price for the performance you're getting. The card trades blows with the 1070 yet in some cases it's right up there with it's bigger brother the 1070 Ti.
