Zadak TWSG4S  NVMe SSD(2 TB)

ZADAK is not a new competitor in the market of SSDs. They already provided SATA and NVMe PCIe Gen3x4 drives, like TWSG3, ZDKG3, or Spark. This time, it’s a TWSG4S model, which supports PCIe Gen4x4. It comes in 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities. We’ve received the biggest TB variant. It’s aimed at gamers, according to ZADAK, and it would be fair to place this in an area of high-end levels. There’s also a clear indication on the website that it’s compatible with the Sony Playstation 5.

The drive uses the NVMe 1.4 protocol, and according to the manufacturer, this series achieves read speeds of up to 7400 MB/s and write speeds of up to 7000 MB/s. The 4K random read speeds are up to 1,000,000 IOPS, and the write speeds of 1,000,000 IOPS. These numbers are impressive and should satisfy the vast majority of the users. The write endurance values are as follows:

  • 512GB: 350 TB
  • 1TB: 700 TB
  • 2TB: 1,400 TB

but also you shouldn’t worry too much as the product has a 5-year product guarantee. MTBF is 1,600,000 hours.

The NAND flash is 3D TLC, and the controller is Phison PS5018-E18-41. What makes the TWSG4S stand out is that you can choose if you apply the graphene thermal pad for effective heat dissipation or the provided heatsink. It should keep TWSG4S’s temperature 15% lower (than without it)  with the first solution and 35% with a radiator.

The ZADAK SSD TWSG4S specifications are as follows for each capacity option:

  • 512 GB - up to 7000 MB/s in reading and 3800 MB/s in sequential writing. The IOPS is up to 450 000/700 000 IOPS in 4K Random Read/Write;
  • 1 TB – up to 7400 MB/s in reading and 6400 MB/s in sequential writing. The IOPS are up to 750 000/1 000 000 IOPS in 4K Random Read/Write;
  • 2 TB – up to 7400 MB/s in reading and 7000 MB/s in sequential writing. The IOPS are up 1 000 000/1 000 000 IOPS in 4K Random Read/Write

Ok, let’s look at the ZADAK SSD TWSG4S model, shall we? As we mentioned - ZADAK offers an excellent 5-year warranty on this product. The MSRP is 265.99 USD.
