Power Consumption - Temps and CPU-Z Screenshots
Power Consumption
Right it's time to start to test a thing or two. In an IDLE state, this PC (8GB memory SATA3 SSD and M.2. SSD) consumes 25 Watts. Keep in mind that we measure the ENTIRE PC, not just the processor's power consumption. Your average PC can differ from our numbers if you add a mechanical HDD.
The above measurement is impressive. Given the condition you fire off at it expect to hover close to the 70~75 Watt range when you fully stress the PC. This is based on the IGP, thus a dedicated graphics card has not been installed.
Stress (CPU load) temperature
Above a quick temperature display Here we run Wprime of the four processor cores, as you can see the package temperature stays at 45 Degrees C maximum, which is really good. The Shuttle ICE cooler is going a terrific job really.
CPU-Z Screenshots & System
Here we have CPU-Z screenshots of the processor in the motherboard we used today, let's have a look. So, that's all looking alright, indeed an 8 MB L3 cache. If interested, you can download CPU-Z here.
