Performance - Single GPU - Futuremark 3DMark 2013

DX11: 3DMark 2013

3DMark includes everything you need to benchmark your hardware. With three all new tests you can bench everything from smartphones and tablets, to notebooks and home PCs, to the latest high-end, multi-GPU gaming desktops. And it's not just for Windows. With 3DMark you can compare your scores with Android and iOS devices too. Here (below) are 3DMark FireStrike results. Fire Strike is the new showcase DirectX 11 benchmark designed for high-performance gaming PCs.

With 3DMark FireStrike being a synthetic test we did not perform any frametime recordings. Initially I wanted to leave out the results as it's not a game. But I realized, to not measure this title would result into many of you guys requesting it - so I included it just for fun :)

As you can see the overall effect on the FireStrike score is present and measurable synthetically. From PCIe Gen 1.1 to Gen 3.0 a 288 point difference, so a modern PCIE gen 3.0 bus will get you a slightly higher score.

So much for Single GPU testing with one GeForce GTX 980, in the following pages we'll start-up the entire series of benchmarks again, this time we measure in SLI to see if there is a bigger hit in performance with two GPUs present in the sub-system.
