Technical specifications

According to Mountain – it is staying true to its philosophy, combining innovation, performance, aesthetics, and customization in the Everest 60 as it features:

  • A 60% design that includes arrow keys
  • MOUNTAIN’s own factory-lubed Linear 45, Tactile 55, and Linear 45 Speed switches rated at 100 million actuations
  • Several additional foam and silicon layers to reduce reverberations
  • Hot-swap switch support for both 3-pin plate mounted as well as 5-pin PCB mounted Cherry MX style switches
  • Durable PBT keycaps
  • Clipped and lubricated stabilizers as used in the original Everest keyboard series
  • Per key RGB lighting
  • MOUNTAIN’s patented magnetic riser feet
  • Expansion ports for the optional Numpad that can be connected on both the left and right side of the keyboard
  • A Cherry MX-style switch that can also be paired with MOUNTAIN’s new Mineral PBT keycap sets

Innovation, Performance, Aesthetics, and Modularity

Featuring patent-pending designs, Everest 60 was created from the ground up to enable peak performance. When it comes to absolute mechanical keyboard bliss, Everest 60 makes no compromises; featuring factory lubed MOUNTAIN switches, genuine lubed Cherry stabilizers, and sound dampening consisting of multiple layers of foam and silicone.

ENDLESS SPACE

Condensed to 60%, Everest 60 comes with all the benefits of a small form factor without sacrificing crucial features such as arrow keys. Its compact shape makes room for your setup and offers unprecedented space for your gaming mouse to maneuver when your battles are tight.

PREMIUM MOUNTAIN SWITCHES

The custom-made MOUNTAIN Linear 45 and Tactile 55 switches have been designed for smooth and quiet operation, making them ideal for gamers and professionals alike. Factory-lubed, these switches are a pleasure for the eyes and ears. Everest 60 is happy to accept all other 3-pin plate-mounted or 5-pin PCB mounted switches.

DURABLE PBT DOUBLE-SHOT KEYCAPS

The era of shiny WASD keys has come to an end. No other keycap material offers the same rigidity, sturdiness, and durability as PBT. Matt is textured and with translucent double-shot legends; they'll never fade or become glossy over time.

JUMP AROUND RATTLE-FREE

The best-in-class Cherry plate-mounted stabilizers come factory-lubed and clipped for a rattle-free keyboard experience. Lubricated with Krytox™ GPL 205 Grade 0, these are the same stabilizers that received critical acclaim on the original Everest and are in a league of their own.

HIGH-END SOUNDPROOFING

You can’t have background noise interrupting when you’re listening for the footsteps of your foes. Everest 60 goes the extra mile to achieve a quiet and muted sound profile. With a silicone mat in its bottom housing and foam on the PCB and between PCB and top plate, no corners were cut to achieve auditory perfection.

RGB ALL THE THINGS

Set your desk ablaze with the broadest array of RGB features we can muster. 16.7 million colors and numerous RGB modes are at your disposal. With individual RGB lighting for every individual key and a slick RGB strip around Everest’s entire body, the choice is yours.

FIND YOUR STYLE

Find your style with MOUNTAIN keycap sets. These keycaps will never fade or wear off, made of ultra-durable PBT and with translucent double-shot legends. Available in ten different colorways, inspired by the world’s most beautiful minerals.

Mountain Everest 60 keyboard review
The Mountain Everest 60 keyboard is the one we’re reviewing today. We have already covered two products of this German company; one was the Makalu 67 mouse and the Everest Max keyboard. This time it’s the 60% version of the latter. What we’ll find interesting about this product? This time it’s not using the Cherry MX switches but rather the custom-made MOUNTAIN.

Mountain Everest Max keyboard review
The Mountain Everest Max keyboard is the one we’re reviewing today. It’s not the first product of this German manufacturer that we got, as we check already the Makalu 67 mouse. But let’s get back to the keyboard topic - the first information about the Everest Max appeared on the web around March ’20. At first, it was available on Kickstarter, but it was (and is) possible to buy it on the manufacturer’s website.
