Gigabyte Force K7 Stealth gaming keyboard review -
Final Words and verdict
Final Words and verdict
At its price point the K7 Stealth might be a bit of a gem for the money. Now don't get me wrong here, I would have liked to see dedicated media control buttons, mechanical keys and programmable macro's and profiles, the K7 Stealth lacks all of these and that makes it far from perfect features wise. But that doesn't make this a bad keyboard. Contrary, a decent mechanical gaming keyboard start at 90 EUR and that would be a basic model. No for the avid gamer on a budget that want a little more then an average dull keyboard this might be a good alternative. It has a nice design, it is back-lit, has a braided cable and overall is just a good looking product.
We didn't notice any lag on key responses, they key pressure feels right and we love the grip of the keyboard BTW, our desk is slippery, and the rubber mounts help out keeping that keyboard very steady on the desktop. The keys themselves feel very soft-smooth though, I'd even say a bit slippery. So perhaps for the next model we can see something rubberized ?
Conclusion
Overall I am certainly pleased with the unit and the functions it offers. So for generic desktop usage and even game or two we can certainly can recommend the Gigabyte K7 Stealth. For a sub 40 EURO product this kit is a nice deal, you receive most of the functionality you need. For the hardcore FPS and RTS gamers the product will become a problem though as there are no configurable or programmable keys. But for the regular d00d that plays a game every now and then this will be fine, and hey it looks pretty cool on your desktop as well. The shallow keys and the scissor switch worked as well as it can at offering good response at low noise-level in games. That makes this a run of the mill gaming keyboard that is priced attractively. If that meets your requirements, by all means we can recommend it. Let's just call it an entry level gaming keyboard shall we ?
