Roughly a week ago NVIDIA launched their GeForce GTX 200 series of products. We already published three separate articles on the GeForce GTX 280, but I figured it's time to have a look at the little brother of the 280, the GeForce GTX 260. A product that is priced much more aggressively than it's bigger brother at 399 USD.
Quite honestly it's the same GTX 280 GPU that amounts up-to 1400 million transistors. yet internally some computer power lovin' has been disabled.
But for that price cut you do need to realize, roughly 20-25% overall performance has been stripped away. Yet that still makes it a near flagship performing graphics card.
Today we'll look at such a GeForce GTX 260 from NVIDIA's board partner, Point of View. They will unleash this product onto the market at a suggested 319 EUR (399 USD) sales price and bundle it with a hot gaming title.
Obviously we'll have a chat about the differences between the GTX 260 and 280, strip her nekked and show you some photo's, but then it's time for the real deal. Gaming testing performance with the hottest gaming titles, some overclocking .. and our verdict.
Let's fire her up ..
