Fractal Torrent Nano mITX chassis review -
Product Showcase
Right then, let's start off with the review. As always we begin with the packaging. It's a simple yet informative thing to show as when you purchase a chassis, honestly, you do not want any defects and scratches on it. The Torrent Nano is packaged in cardboard.
Before we continue, the Torrent Nano will be available in a two colors and finishes. The side panels are optional are tempered glass, in the SKU product code, you'll notice TG in the extension. These puppies can hold fast processors and a proper GPU, AIO water cooling units (max. 240 mm), and up to three storage devices (albeit that is pushing your luck), thanks to a flexible PSU mounting system. Airflow and component cooling is partially achieved through a chimney design pulling air from below.
The packaging was done decently, risk of damage is fairly minimal. Included are riser brackets for fan/LCS configuration at the front side.
Also included in the bundle is the standard gear like screws, standoffs and zip-ties, and of course the top cover.
Once you take the unit out of the cardboard box you'll notice two layers of foam protecting the unit, which on its end is covered in a plastic bag.
Once unpacked we see a little better what the chassis is all about. The chassis is made out of a steel structure with plating and top-side plastic cover. The front side has one huge y shaped air intake.
This time, we’re checking out a mid-sized ATX tower PC chassis –a Fractal Design NORTH. The look is inspired by a Scandinavian design, with bespoke details like brass (Charcoal), steel (Chalk), or faux leather tab for easy access to the top of the chassis. It introduces fusing design and airflow engineering. Natural materials like genuine walnut (Charcoal) or oak (Chalk) panels make this gaming case a stylish addition to the living space.
Fractal Design Focus 2 chassis review
This time, we're checking out the Fractal Design Focus 2, a successor of the Focus G chassis (ATX compatible), which we reviewed back in 2017. A Mini version was also available, dedicated to the mATX motherboards. The Fractal Design Focus 2 appears to have changed quite a lot from the original.
