SSD Operating Temperatures

Temperature Measurements

During our test benchmarks stress tests with a high-stress workload, we monitor the SSD temperature. The unit idles at roughly 40 Degrees C, the peak stress temperature measured hovers at roughly 76 Degrees C, which is certainly on the high side. While it can manage that temperature fine, we recommend that you place the SSD under an m.2. heatsink (should your motherboard offer one). That prevents performance throttling once the controller reaches a thermal threshold.
