No surprises at the beginning of this chapter – just a photo of the packaging. The box is rather small and light. The S600 arrived packed in between three pieces of protective foam (one on the side, even though it’s the version with a steel side panel), whereas the case itself is additionally wrapped in a plastic bag. The design is plain, with simple black print on a brown background.

The back of the box presents a few more details about the case in several languages. You can take a look at the main features of this case below (it’s very similar to the Cooler Master MasterBox NR600):

  • Front with mounts for 3 x 120mm fans or 2 x 140mm fans, the front can support a 280, 240 , 140 or 120mm radiator.
  • The top can house 2 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm fan, with room for a 280mm/240mm radiator
  • The rear can house 1 x 120mm or 120 mm radiator.
  • Up to 398 mm clearance for GPUs, 166mm for CPU coolers, and 180 mm for the PSU
  • Five 2.5” SSD mounts
  • Four 3.5” drive mounts
  • Full-length PSU shroud

So, you’ll see “only” 280 mm radiator compatibility for the front mounting position, but AIOs actually seldom use bigger ones. 12 mm less space for the GPU (vs. the NR600) is also not an issue. The chassis is protected well, with Styrofoam. Our case has not sustained any damage in transport. The Silencio S600 has a very classic and classy look. No RGB LEDs galore (except for the power LED on the top). It’s a mid-sized chassis, measuring 478 (L) x 209 (W) x 470.5 (H) mm, with a total volume of 47 l.

We’ve received the version with the steel side panel, but they’ve also included a tempered glass one as an accessory.

It was packed separately and very securely. Do remember to remove the protective film from the tempered glass panel (which actually doesn’t cover the whole left side, but just the area over the PSU shroud instead). Cooler Master also includes a magnetic dust filter for the top vent.

In the accessory bag (which is hidden inside the chassis), you will find a manual and also:

  • Mounts for your SSDs/HDDs,
  • Cable ties
  • And all the screws you may need for your build.

No additional accessories are included, like a logo badge, etc., and it would have been nice to have something like that considering the price (significantly higher than for CoolerMaster Masterbox NR600). Let’s proceed to the evaluation of the exterior.
