Another new product from EKWB is EK-Quantum Kinetic TBE D5. This is another evolutionary step in one of the most popular tank pump designs on the market. The new Kinetic combination units are part of the EK Quantum product line and are equipped with an improved D-RGB address lighting and of course the D5 pump.

Many of you may have encountered situations where, due to the small number of ports in the pump reservoir, the circuit tube had to be thrown through the wrong place, which in turn negatively affected the internal aesthetics. Fortunately, the EK-Quantum Kinetic TBE 300 D5 tank is now equipped with six G1/4-inch ports. The top has three G1/4" holes, one of which has a pre-installed nickel-plated brass inner tube, which helps prevent coolant from splashing inside the tank when the top is used as an inlet port. This brass tube also reduces the chance of air being sucked in by the pump and foaming the coolant. Either of these ports can be used to fill the system or to install additional accessories such as a temperature sensor.

Three more standard G1/4" ports are available in the lower combo box. This is a pretty important change, as previously, due to the lack of only two ports, we had to drain through the tee, but now we just need to connect the crane directly to the third port. In addition to draining, you can use this port as an additional input port or a temperature sensor installation location.

A special rubber shock absorber is used to isolate the pump from the mountings caused by the pump motor vibration. In addition, a horizontal and vertical arrangement of the pump tank is maintained for optimum positioning of the components inside the housing. The 60 mm diameter tank  is made of high quality acrylic material, which is very similar to glass on the outside, while the bottom of the tank or the top of the pump tank is made of black POM acetal. The tank is sealed with an EPDM O-ring. Built-in D-RGB address lighting is compatible with popular RGB synchronization technologies from all major motherboard manufacturers. Another positive feature is the ability to upgrade the tank with longer acrylic tubes used in the EK-RES X3 series. In my case, the tank volume reaches 300ml, which will certainly have a positive impact on the inertia of the system.
