be quiet! DARK BASE 700
The Next-Gen Enthusiast Class Mid-Tower Chassis

We review the new be quiet! Dark Base 700. This is a new enthusiast-class chassis from be quiet! A truly nice looking chassis with integrated LED and fan controller, tempered glass, sound dampening while offering good space to work in and yeah, very silent quiet airflow. Of course, you can house many kinds of liquid cooling. Have a peek at the product we'll review today.

Dark, stylish and feature-rich and obviously silent with the help of noise dampening are just a few features that come to mind. The side window, for example, is made out of coated tempered glass, the chassis will offer noise isolation thanks to padded dampening, well that and the use of some of the quietest fans. Just looking at the chassis for the first time will bring a smile to your face, as it breathes aesthetics and offers a quality feel. Depending on the color combination you choose, the chassis is made with a dark interior. Due to the grand looks you might not even realize it, but this is a mid-tower chassis sized 241 x 519 x 544 mm and is made of metal, aluminum and also that tempered glass (4 mm thick). The case utilizes L-shaped noise-dampening vents in the front and top, preventing airflow from moving in a straight, noisier line. Noise dampening mats are installed in the front and side panel as well as the top cover. You can house up-to E-ATX motherboards or downsize that towards a Mini-ITX motherboard in there.

Storage isn't anything to complain about either, you can mount nine storage units above each other, each in its own tray. Every HDD slot can fit two SSDs or one HDD. The case supports up to seven HDDs or 14 SSDs in seven single cages (make note though - only three are included). There is also proper room for large CPU coolers up to 180 mm high and VGA cards 28.6 cm or 43.0 cm w/o HDD cage. Included as well are two 140 mm Silent Wing-3 fans, connected to an adjustable fan controller. Also, there is a connection for LED strips. But hey, this is just the introduction, let's start up the review, shall we?

Have a peek first though!
