AV123 ELT 525M 2.0 Desktop Speaker SystemThe PC audio niche has exploded in recent years. The idea that audio lovers didn't need to use small plastic PC speakers seemed a revelation to some and a very basic notion to others. The addition of even modest audio gear meant for the living room seemed to easily surpass any speakers meant for PC use.

Many PC audio lovers have their system connected to high quality home theater systems or high grade Bookshelf speakers for stereo audition. It would seem that more and more PC users are moving up the audio ladder to these high end systems.

At the Guru3D Audio Lab we have always advocated such systems to get the best sonic performance your hard earned money can provide.  We always keep a close eye on systems aimed at PC use and recently we were sent a Low/mid priced system from AV123 for our testing.

AV123 concentrates their efforts on building high quality, high end home theater gear, everything from satellite speakers, to full towers, subwoofer and ELT electronics can be found at AV123. We personally had a chance to speak with the President and Founder of AV123 Mark Schifter. One thing that became obvious is Mark has a passion for audio and speaks about these ELT 525m's speakers like a proud poppa with a newborn baby.

Marks enthusiasm seemed almost contagious and we set out to gauge what this system was capable of within the realm of the PC. Let's get to the good stuff shall we?

AV123 sent us a complete stereo monitoring system comprised of their ELT 525 Mini-Monitors in a Cherry Finish, a Class-D speaker amplifier from Tweak City Audio and last but not least some Matrix-2 speaker cables from Ultra Link to tie the system together.
