To Eyefinity and beyond (2)

Company of Heroes

Right - War games. Company of Heroes is a title that will work with the extremely wide resolution we have created. As you can see the screen does look a little weird as the aspect ratio is not 100% right, however it's not far off. Too bad the menu's look stretched this way though. Have a look and be amazed ...

For COH we had AA disabled, we are in DX10 mode and have high-quality settings enabled. We average out at a respectable 38 FPS.

Call of Duty 4

Welcome in my favorite resolution. Now fortunately COD4 and COD5 will support the 5760x1200 resolution we created, unfortunately the aspect ratio is completely messed up stretching the screen horribly wide. Ah well .. just enjoy Hilbert's l33t sniping skills.

Call of Duty 4 had 2xAA enabled with all quality settings set to high. The result was roughly 30 FPS, which is borderline, yet playable. Forfeit a little more on say AA or image quality settings and the framerate will be very respectable though.

Anno 1404

You know, RTS games and everything related are fantastic with Eyefinity. You get to have more filed of view, meaning you can look and see much further than your enemy. That brings you advantages.

Now above you can see a perfect example of a game utilizing Eyefinity really well, including aspect ratio and everything.

UNFORTUNATELY Cypress RC6 and RC7 have a massive texture and performance bug which needs to be fixed. Now I could have chosen to not show this title, but try to look over the bug just to get the dynamics and overall feel of playing a RTS with multiple monitors.

Later on we disabled AA and with image quality settings at high we average out at 36 FPS with drops to 30 FPS in very complex situations.

Again, please ignore the graphics bug and stutters as that's not what this demonstration is about.
