Games performance – overview part 1

It's time to create an overview of frequency and latency testing, we test the games as you use them normally, configured at quality settings but tested in FUll HD to show any effect in performance. We used 2 x 8GB and ran it in these configurations.

  • 3200 MHz CL14-14-14-34
  • 3200 MHz CL16-18-18-38
  • 3600 MHz CL14-16-16-36
  • 3600 MHz CL16-18-18-38
  • 3600 MHz CL18-20-20-40
  • 3733 MHz CL16-18-18-38
  • 3800 MHz CL17-19-19-39
  • 4000 MHz CL18-20-20-40

 Additionally, we’ve tested 4 x 8GB in these timings:

  • 3200 MHz CL14-14-14-34
Also, 2x16 GB + 4x16 GB kits are used to check out any performance increase.

The graphs from the first batch of games are really looking good. Overclocking the tested memory kit results in a visible performance gain. Of course, it’s definitely related to the powerful graphics card (an RTX 2080 Ti), which is always CPU-hungry, especially at this resolution (FullHD). At 1440p and above, the graphs would definitely be flatter, aka GPU bottlenecked.
