All white, the packaging DashDrive is a little bland. We didn't mention it just yet but the product is priced at give or take 90 EUR for today's tested 500GB model. Have a peek at some product shoot photo's.

Here we go, the USB 3.0 DashDrive Elite HE720, the 500 GB model. The internal HDD that ADATA uses is a Seagate Momentus Thin series ST500LT012 HDD.  It is a 5400 RPM spinner with SATA3 interface and USB 3.0 interface. it's average power usage is only 1.6 Watt hence it will not need an external power source. The device will power itself completely from the USB connector.

The HDD is rated at roughly 100MB/sec for reads and writes, and although that's not comparable with modern age SSD and NAND Flash storage, for our purposes it'll do just fine. Included are a small manual and USB 3.0 cable. It's all you need really.

The design of unit is slim -- 8.9mm thickness my man, that ain't a lot for a portable HDD storage unit, you can slip it into your jacket easily.

The unit has a size of 117 x 79 x 8.9mm (4.6 x 3.1 x 0.4in), with a weight of 164g (0.4 lb) only.

And the last photo, to the right is the USB 3.0 connector (btw you can use this device on USB 2.0 as well -- just slower). To the left you can see a backup button. The DashDrive Elite HE720 features “One touch backup” function which automatically backs up and synchronizes data with one easy touch. The HE720 is equipped with a bright blue LED indicator which shines through the transmission process to indicate power and data transfer status.
