Welcome to Guru3D's Rig of the Month!

We just adore PC related hardware & think you do too. And sometimes you guys really make a PC that really stands out. We ask you to answer a few simple questions and send in photos of your rig. Each month we'll have a look at the entries and perhaps pick you and post your PC with photos and everything here at Guru3D.com. Here you can find out what you need to do and win a nice prize courtesy of Corsair.

Guru3D Rig of the Month is sponsored by Corsair

Each month one winner walks away with a cool prize. This month we give away a K70 LUX with red lighting. All keys are mechanical, in our case making use of Cherry Red MX switches. The idea behind mechanical switches is that they give a key press a more perceptible feel than the standard rubber membrane used in cheaper keyboards. Gamers seem to prefer mechy's very much over dome based keys and ever since the past year or two mechanical keyboards have been on the rise. The keyboard registers ALL keys pressed at once, as such this is a full key rollover. With virtually unlimited customization directly integrated into Corsair's legendary construction, the LUX line of gaming keyboards is the key to breaking through the competition. Express yourself with programmable advanced lighting control and large font keycaps, and transform your gameplay with on-the-fly macro programming. Loaded into a rugged aluminum body, Corsair LUX keyboards provide the ultimate experience for every situation.

Note - This competition runs worldwide, however, due to complex delivery and customs issues Russia, South America, and Africa cannot be shipped a prize. That said, let's do some modding.

Guru3D Rig of the Month: A man and his build The November edition of the Guru3D Rig of the month 2017 is here and my man Lee certainly went all the way, with his creature in all white and blue, which he called: Temporal Snow 1. What is your name / nickname /age / occupation? Hi, my name is Lee (Stealth80) I’m 37 and have been employed with the Royal Navy as an Aircraft Engineer for 20 years, currently living in Helston, Cornwall 2. What did you first come here for? I came here many years ago and have been a regular visitor since. When I first joined here back in 2004 I had just switched from a 15 inch laptop running a Pentium 4 and ATI 9000 mobility to a pre-built Athlon 64 3200 with an Nvidia 5200 Ultra. It was here where my passion began – although back then I didn’t really have the finances to buy the things I really wanted – to be honest, it's like that for pretty much everyone this side of a professional athlete/actor/pop star. It was forums like these that moved me from that rig to my first own built in 2009, using an Intel i7 860, AMD 5870 right through to my current rig – an educational journey.     3. What do you mainly use the system for? 3. What do you mainly use the system for?The main use seems to be internet usage and youtube! Amongst that is the occasional video edit plugged inbetween major gaming sessions. I find I game a lot less now, over the last 9 years most of my gaming time was absorbed by World of Warcraft, I got myself clean and I have found I have much more time on my hands to pursue modding projects and experiencing other types of PC games.
