Gigabyte X58A-UD9 review

Right, there we have the Gigabyte X58A-UD9. That's a smoking hot feature rich motherboard alright. Everything on this motherboard is focused on one thing, performance, with some very delicate overclock features and slick design.

The two tone (white/blue) design appeals to some, and not so much others as dark colored PCBs are the trend these days. What immediately catches the eye are of course the seven PCIe slots. What immediately catches the eyes (2) is the waterblock sitting on top of the PCH! Look at that.

 Gigabyte X58A-UD9 review

Gigabyte includes an extra heatsink which they call the Hybrid Silent Pipe module that screws onto the top of the Northbridge heatsink to provide extra cooling for those that will be sticking to air cooling for the board. Quite honestly, we doubt it's even needed, but it does add a certain 'flair' to the product, and sure enough, it does help out.
