TweetThe Verdict.

Obviously the BQT P6 PRO-850W is an outstanding power supply. We have been using it on one of our test systems for quite a while now and fired off a lot more products at it then the test in this review mentions. The NFORCE 590 setup is actually a real test system here in the lab.

Much like all models we tested from Listan; throughout our tests we were only able to measure really tiny fluctuations, with the PSU not being bothered at all. You know, there's a very simple trick to monitor if your PSU is having a hard time dealing with the load. The cooling fan is monitoring heat in the PSU, it'll spin faster when temperature (and thus load) builds. It just didn't happen here though.

Guru3D.com Editors Choice AwardThere's really nothing negative to say here. This is a great product.

Granted though, this new model also comes with a higher pricetag than I expected. At roughly 230 USD/EUR this 850 Watt model is not the cheapest PSU available, and although the 700 Watt model is merely 150 USD/EUR that additional 80 bucks might be worth your investment. Everything is going dual and quad these days and trust me when I say that you do not want the PSU to be the limiting factor.

For that money you receive a good quality PSU with modular sleeved cables, high performance output and a very safe and protected environment wrapped up in a very silent package. It's an easy to use and connect (modular) power supply so I do not see any real negatives here.

Please do not hesitate on buying this PSU as everything about it is fantastic, right up-to the detailed and photo rich manual. Another great thing is that you receive a three year warranty also. Cliché as it is but it means the manufacturer believes in this product just as much as I do, it's just really good.

Many thanks to Dorothee for making this review possible.

So a couple of weeks ago I had a call from Miss D. at Listan, their rock solid BeQuiet series is to be updated to a new revision. And at that very moment I was like ..hmm what on earth could they improve ? Well, before we get into that .. let me just say .. they did. On the next pages we'll show you a full-fetched review on their all new BeQuiet Dark Power Pro "First Class" edition of power supplies. A PSU series that is quite efficient, stable and so darn quiet .. that I measured over and over again.

BeQuiet Dark Power PRO 850 Watt PSU review
The last time I received a power supply from them I received an email back from a friend working in the graphics card industry. He said "Hilbert, I just bought one of these and you were 100% right. I'm really glad I bought one." So for Listan it's difficult to improve an already great product I figured. Hmm, nope! In the ever-growing demand of power consumption they have yet again released an affordable power supply, this time with a 850 Watt rating yet for a price that's stunning. Next to that it's modular, has high energy efficiency, is quite silent and will fit in any case due to it's small size opposed to the Kilowatt PSU's we recently have seen.
