TP Link Archer Air R5: Ultra-Thin Dual-Band Wi-Fi 6 Router with 8mm Thickness

TP Link announced the upcoming release of the Archer Air R5. This advanced Wi-Fi 6 router boasts an incredibly slim design, measuring only 8mm in thickness. 



The Archer Air R5 is a Wi-Fi 6 router that prioritizes minimalism in its design, achieving an impressively thin profile. It comes with double-sided tape and mounting brackets for convenient wall installation, eliminating the need for a separate installation space. Furthermore, it is EasyMesh compatible, enabling easy establishment of a mesh network by connecting multiple routers, ensuring comprehensive coverage throughout your entire home. With a maximum transfer speed of 2,402 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band, the Archer Air R5 supports IEEE802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax wireless LAN standards and offers robust security features such as WPA3/WPA2-PSK/WPA. The interface includes one Gigabit WAN and one Gigabit LAN port. The main body dimensions are 148mm in width, 210mm in depth, and 8mm in thickness, weighing a mere 290g. Power is supplied via USB Type-C.

In addition, TP Link will also release the Archer Air E5, a Wi-Fi 6 repeater with the same sleek design as the Archer Air R5. The Archer Air E5 shares the same impressive maximum transfer speeds of 2,402 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 574 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band, weighing 275g. The launch is planned for August, with pricing details yet to be revealed.
