TP-Link Announces Deco BE85 Wi-Fi 7 Router

TP-Link is set to launch its inaugural Wi-Fi 7 router, known as the Deco BE85. The product will be available for purchase from September 21st onwards. 



This groundbreaking router, first unveiled in March of this year, boasts impressive features, including support for a 12-stream tri-band configuration with maximum speeds of 11,520Mbps on the 6GHz band, 8,640Mbps on the 5GHz band, and 1,376Mbps on the 2.4GHz band. The main unit is equipped with eight high-gain antennas. Furthermore, it offers functionalities such as "seamless roaming," enabling multiple Deco units to collaborate and unify the SSID for connected Wi-Fi networks. Additionally, it incorporates "TP-Link HomeShield," providing advanced security features for safeguarding home networks.

The router is compatible with various wireless LAN standards, including IEEE 802.11be/ax/ac/a/b/g/n. It offers a range of interfaces, including one 10-gigabit port, one 10-gigabit SFP + RJ45 combo port, two 2.5-gigabit ports, and one USB 3.0 port. Encryption options encompass WPA-Personal, WPA2-Personal, and WPA3-Personal. The router's dimensions measure 128mm in width, 128mm in depth, and 236mm in height, and it comes with a 3-year product warranty. The anticipated market price for a single pack is roughly $275 , while a two-pack option will be priced at $500.

In addition to the "Deco BE85," TP-Link Japan will also release the ultra-thin dual-band Wi-Fi 6 router, "Archer Air R5," and its companion repeater, the "Archer Air E5," in Japan, starting from September 21st.
