Rockstar Games, under Take-Two Interactive Software Inc., is reportedly gearing up to announce the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series, GTA VI, within the week, according to insiders. The announcement is timed to coincide with the company's 25th anniversary, with plans to release a game trailer the following month.

Details regarding the exact timing of the announcement remain undisclosed. However, Bloomberg's Jason Schreier has indicated that the release of GTA VI may soon be forthcoming, citing information from unnamed sources that have previously provided reliable information. These sources have suggested that the game will introduce a female protagonist and will be set in a city modeled after Miami.

Last year, a security breach resulted in leaked gameplay footage which corroborated the introduction of a female lead and a setting that echoes Vice City, Rockstar's fictionalized version of Miami. Rockstar Games has not officially commented on these developments.

Grand Theft Auto V celebrated its tenth anniversary last September and has been recognized as one of the industry's best-selling titles, thanks to the enduring popularity of GTA Online and its availability across three console generations. The gaming community has expressed keen interest in discovering the direction Rockstar will take with the franchise.

Currently, specific details about GTA VI are scarce, though it is understood that the game will revisit Vice City and feature dual protagonists, both a male and a female character.
