Microsoft Flight Simulator World Update XIV: Central Eastern Europe is a technical marvel that captures the essence of Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

To create this update, Microsoft Flight Simulator meticulously assembled fresh, full-coverage aerial imagery and digital elevation data from Bing Maps and Maxar, ensuring a never-before-seen level of fidelity. The package includes 103 points of interest (POIs) spread across the countries: 18 in Czechia, 15 in Slovakia, 19 in Hungary, 15 in Slovenia, 23 in Croatia, and 13 in Bosnia-Herzegovina. These POIs feature accurately reproduced castles, towers, churches, and other landmarks, inviting virtual pilots to explore the region from the skies.

Working in collaboration with Gaya Simulations, Microsoft Flight Simulator created six bespoke airports to enhance the flying experience: Karlovy Vary Airport (LKKV) in Czechia, Poprad-Tatry Airport (LZTT) in Slovakia, Pécs-Pogány Airport (LHPP) in Hungary, Zagorje ob Savi Airport (LJZA) in Slovenia, Rijeka International Airport (LDRI) in Croatia, and Prijedor Urije Airport (LQPD) in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

In addition to the airports, Microsoft Maps & Local, in partnership with Vexcel, designed detailed representations of ten cities in the region: Prague, Brno, and Plzeň in Czechia; Budapest in Hungary; Ljubljana and Maribor in Slovenia; Split and Dubrovnik in Croatia; and Sarajevo and Banja Luka in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Each city is presented in photorealistic quality, providing countless opportunities for virtual exploration.

The update also includes three discovery flights over Prague, Sarajevo, and Budapest, allowing pilots to admire the cities from unique aerial perspectives. For those seeking challenges, three landing challenges are available: Croatia's Kastela (LDSP) in an Airbus A320neo, Slovenia's Vzletišče Zagorje Ob Savi (LJZA) in a Pilatus PC-6/B2-H4 Turbo Porter, and Slovakia's Poprad-Tatry (LZTT) in an Airbus A310-300.

To further enhance the experience, four remarkable bush trips have been crafted: "Czech Route," "Northeast Adriatic," "Danube Journey," and "Carpathian Journey."

World Update XIV: Central Eastern Europe is accessible free of charge to all Microsoft Flight Simulator owners. Simply ensure that your simulator is updated to version 1.33.8.0, download the update, and embark on an unforgettable journey through this captivating region. The sky beckons you!
