JBL Releases Quantum STREAM Series Microphones

Harman International announced the launch of three new microphone models under the JBL brand, including the flagship model "Quantum STREAM STUDIO." This model is part of the Quantum STREAM series, designed for versatile use in gaming, streaming, and video conferencing. The Quantum STREAM STUDIO offers a high sampling rate of 192KHz/24bit, ensuring detailed audio capture. It features a Dynamic Range Compressor (DRC) that automatically adjusts audio gain for consistent output. Users can select from four directivity patterns—unidirectional, omnidirectional, bidirectional, and stereo—via a button, with the current setting displayed on the device's front.

Key specifications include a frequency range of 50Hz to 16kHz, sensitivity of -37±3dB at 1kHz, a maximum SPL of 110dB, dimensions of 90 x 90 x 205 mm, and a weight of 555 g.

The Quantum STREAM WIRELESS is a clip-on wireless microphone designed for portability and ease of use, with IPX4 water resistance. It has a 48kHz/16bit sampling rate, 20Hz to 20kHz frequency response, and up to 24 hours of battery life. It weighs approximately 6g, with the charging case at 47.4g.

The Quantum STREAM TALK is a single condenser microphone optimized for capturing speech directly in front of it. It supports a sampling rate of up to 96kHz/24bit, with a frequency range of 50Hz to 12kHz and a maximum SPL of 110dB. It measures 105 x 100 x 186 mm and weighs 146 g.

The Quantum STREAM STUDIO was released on February 22, 2024, with a direct sales price of approximately $170 USD (22,000 yen), the Quantum STREAM WIRELESS in March 2024 at around $110 USD (14,300 yen), and the Quantum STREAM TALK at about $54 USD (6,980 yen).
