The RTX 4080 SUPER, regarded as the flagship of the series, is expected to employ a full AD103 GPU, equipped with 10240 CUDA cores, a substantial 16GB memory specification, and a 320W TDP, aligning with the existing RTX 4080 model. Reports suggest that while the RTX 4080 SUPER and RTX 4070 Ti SUPER may potentially replace their respective predecessors, the RTX 4070 SUPER is likely to coexist alongside the RTX 4070. Speculation surrounds the notion that all models within the RTX 40 SUPER series will feature 12VHPWR connectors, marking a departure from the conventional 8-pin connectors. However, it should be noted that NVIDIA's plans to produce its own Founder Edition of these graphics cards remain unconfirmed at this time.
NVIDIA has structured a detailed embargo plan for its RTX 40 SUPER cards, consisting of seven distinct phases. This plan commences with the announcement and unboxing embargoes on January 8th. During the CES 2024 event, NVIDIA will unveil three new models: the RTX 4070 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, and RTX 4080 SUPER. The company has defined specific embargo dates for unboxing and reviews, further subdividing the review embargo into two segments: MSRP and non-MSRP cards. Reviews of MSRP cards will be prioritized.
The embargo schedule for the RTX 40 SUPER series is as follows:
