Dell has expanded its UltraSharp series with the introduction of the U2724D and U2724DE monitors, designed with the professional sector in mind. These models present a significant update for users who enjoy gaming, as they are equipped with IPS Black panels from LG, first showcased at CES 2022, capable of a 120 Hz refresh rate.
The IPS Black technology offers a 35% improvement in black levels over standard IPS panels, achieving a contrast ratio of 2000:1. This innovation also improves color volume and maintains consistent viewing angles, particularly in scenarios of low gradation.
The adoption of IPS Black by Dell started with their 4K UltraSharp monitors and extended to the UltraSharp 32 6K Display. The new U2724D and U2724DE models maintain the advantages of IPS Black but introduce a higher refresh rate of 120 Hz, diverging from their 4K predecessors by providing a 1440p resolution.
