ASUS has unveiled the Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WiFi motherboard, designed to support AMD TR5 pin processors. This new motherboard, released shortly after AMD's launch of the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000/7000 series processors, targets the professional workstation and high-end desktop (HEDT) markets.

The Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WiFi, as its name implies, is built around the AMD TRX50 chipset. It features a TR5/SP6 pin size processor socket, providing compatibility with the latest Ryzen Threadripper Pro 7000/7000 series processors. The motherboard boasts a robust VRM design with 36 power-level chips and other components configured in a loop. To manage heat efficiently, large heat sinks cover the critical components, ensuring support for processors with up to 96 cores. Moreover, the memory capacity reaches an impressive 1TB, supporting ECC RDIMM DDR5 (1DPC) modules.

The Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WiFi is equipped with five PCIe x16 slots, with the first three supporting PCIe 5.0 and the remaining two supporting PCIe 4.0. Additionally, it offers three M.2 slots and SATA 6Gb/s ports for ample storage options, including SlimSAS NVMe support.

ASUS will provide further updates in the future.
