Assassin's Creed Mirage is set to release on October 5, a week ahead of its initial planned date. The forthcoming game features the historical backdrop of 9th century Baghdad and was recently presented at Gamescom 2023 through its latest trailer.

The in-game representation of Baghdad showcases urban exploration opportunities, a significant number of NPCs exhibiting varied routines, and the character Basim navigating with stealth on the city's unique rounded rooftops. The game emphasizes discrete assassinations amidst bustling crowds, reflecting the series' foundational gameplay elements.

Basim, initially introduced in Assassin's Creed Valhalla as an emissary of the assassin's order, makes a return in Assassin's Creed Mirage. Players will witness his transformation from an urban trickster reminiscent of Aladdin to a novice assassin. This game marks a departure from its predecessors by sidestepping traditional progression RPG mechanics.

Distinct from the expansive worlds and numerous quests found in titles like Odyssey and Valhalla, which demand upwards of 100 hours for comprehensive gameplay, Assassin's Creed Mirage aims to offer a comprehensive experience within an estimated 30 hours.

Fabián Salomón, the game's producer, mentioned, “Ubisoft conducts thorough internal testing to ensure alignment with player preferences. Most recent titles average around 20-23 hours of gameplay, extending to 25-30 hours for thorough players." The game is slated for release across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms via Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store.
