ASRock X670E Pro RS Motherboard Product Page Is Live

Published by

Interestingly, the unannounced ASRock X670E Pro RS (AM5 ) Motherboard Product Page is live.  The ASRock the product website now includes a few of more board pictures and a look at the rear I/O. This time, the M.2 slot for a WiFi card is also occupied.

The motherboard contains one "Blazing" M.2 slot for a PCIe 5.0 SSD and three "PCIe 4.0" M.2 slots, two of which share a heatsink and one does not. The last M.2 slot can only support PCIe 3.0. The PCIe x16 slot on this X670E board is PCIe 5.0, which makes sense. Another feature is the Realtek Dragon 2.5 Gbps Ethernet controller, which includes gaming software. Only a line out, a mic in, and an optical S/PDIF connector are available on the Realtek ALC897 audio codec. The board contains a single USB-C port on the rear, however it is a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port (20 Gbps). There are five USB-A 3.2 ports in total. One can achieve rates of up to 10 Gbps, while the other can reach speeds of up to 5 Gbps. There are four USB 2.0 ports, a DP connector, an HDMI port, and a UEFI/BIOS update button on the rear.  There are six SATA ports and two USB 3.x type connectors as well. There is also an internal USB-C header and two unknown PCIe x1 slots. When the AM5 platform is released later this year, this should be one of the more affordable X670E boards.
