ASRock expanded its product line with the introduction of two new ITX motherboards within the Phantom Gaming Lightning series, designed for the Intel LGA 1700 platform: the Z790I Lightning WiFi and the B760I Lightning WiFi. These motherboards share several advanced technical specifications aimed at enhancing performance and reliability for users. Both motherboards feature a robust 14+1+1 phase power supply design, utilizing 110A SPD Dr.MOS for the core and integrated graphics components. They are constructed with a server-grade 8-layer PCB that includes 2-ounce copper foil, facilitating DDR5-8600+ memory overclocking capabilities. Connectivity options include a single PCIe Gen5x16 slot, dual PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 slots, and three SATA 3 interfaces.

For networking, these motherboards are equipped with a WiFi 6E card and a Realtek RTL8125BG 2.5Gb Ethernet controller. The rear I/O panel offers a 10G Type-A port and a 10G Type-C port, with an additional 5G Type-A connector on the front panel. Video output options include an HDMI 2.1 TMDS (compatible with HDMI 2.0 standards) and a DisplayPort 1.4. The main distinction between the Z790I and the B760I models lies in the Z790I's inclusion of 20K long-life black capacitors and enhanced CPU overclocking capabilities. ASRock has emphasized the superior power supply design of these motherboards compared to similar ITX offerings, citing the inclusion of a composite VRM cooling module with a MOS fan to augment cooling efficiency.
