One of the first games to incorporate FSR 3.1 is "Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart" by Insomniac Games, Nixxes Software, and Sony Interactive Entertainment. The update will enhance the game's upscaling quality and allow for the use of FSR 3.1 with other upscaling methods. For optimal use of FSR 3 frame generation, it is recommended to maintain a minimum frame rate of ~60 FPS before applying frame generation, to ensure high-quality gaming experience and minimize latency. Adjusting game settings and resolution can help achieve this target frame rate. When using FSR 3 with a variable refresh rate (VRR) display, keeping the frame rate within the monitor's refresh range is advised to avoid screen tearing.
Furthermore, enabling Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling (HAGS) in Windows® 11 is recommended for users of AMD Radeon™ RX 7900/7800/7700 Series Graphics Cards, ensuring compatibility with AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition™ 23.12.1 or higher.
AMD FSR 3.1 will be available to developers on GPUOpen in Q2 and is expected to be integrated into games later in the year.
