The packaging for Sapphire's RX 7700 XT PURE is similar in size to that of the RX 7700 XT Pulse but stands out with its distinctive exterior design. The PURE's packaging also showcases the Sapphire logo and a sticker indicating its overclocking prowess for superior performance.

AMD's brand presence is consistently emphasized on the packaging, marked by a prominent red box highlighting the 12GB VRAM and proprietary AMD technologies. The model name is also prominently displayed within a bold red box. The package's rear keeps with the AMD motif, detailing RDNA 3 features against a minimalist white backdrop with front-matching patterns and a succinct list of specs.

Removing the outer sleeve uncovers a sturdy brown box. Upon opening, a foam layer reveals the documentation, while a denser foam with a tailored cutout securely houses the RX 7700 XT PURE, which is encased in a static-resistant bag with extra plastic protection. Any additional accessories are neatly stowed in a special foam compartment.

For review, AMD supplied a reference model of the Radeon RX 7700 XT, boasting 12GB of memory and built on the RDNA 3 architecture for enhanced performance and energy efficiency. The card offers ample connectivity with three DisplayPort 2.1 outputs and one HDMI 2.1 port and supports high refresh rates at high resolutions with AMD's Radiance Display engine.

Thermal regulation is managed by an adaptive fan system that modulates RPMs based on GPU junction and memory temperature, maintaining a base speed of 1600 RPM and ramping up as needed. It can also slow down or halt completely to maintain optimal temperatures. The card requires dual 8-pin power connectors and integrates a triple-fan cooler in a 2.9-slot configuration. The reference model is further refined with a backplate that enhances both structure and aesthetics.

The Sapphire RX 7700 XT PURE graphics card is equipped with a triple-fan cooling system, surpassing the length of its dual-fan RX 7700 XT Pulse counterpart. This advanced system incorporates a center fan with a unique reverse rotation, as indicated by the twist in its blades—a design feature Gigabyte also employs. The reversed fan rotation enhances airflow efficiency around the heatsink by minimizing air leakage and reducing turbulence within the cooling system. The airflow design ensures the left fan propels air downwards and to the right, while the center fan, rotating inversely, directs airflow downwards and to the left. The fans are constructed with durable dual ball bearings and strengthened by a ring connecting the blades, which enhances their stability.

The fan shroud and backplate are elongated to showcase various logos: a grey Radeon emblem graces the card's terminus, while the fan shroud features a prominent red area with the Sapphire logo in white, backlit to emit a red aura. Power is supplied through two 8-pin PCIe connectors, a standard found in the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT lineups. This configuration ensures broad compatibility with many power supplies, precluding the need for extra adapters.
