Yeah I don't see the point of these now, wireless headsets are in development, I suppose if you really hate cables that much and you have money to burn then this is a short term solution but personally I have no issues with cables on my CV1 hardly even notice it and wireless headsets are round the corner now so yeah kind of pointless.

You both are absolutely correct. I had forgotten all about that. Why they didn't include some WiDi kind of technology in the first place is beyond me. There's actually one for the vive coming out soon, about £160, battery goes on the back of your head, reciever on top and the transmitter somewhere up highish. I think it's being officially adopted by valve/htc too. 2 hour battery life. http://uploadvr.com/htc-vive-wireless-kit/
