Does Xiaomi still Spyonme?

I had bought just over a year ago their S1 PRO when it first launched. It never had on update no new watch faces. I emailed, asked on facebook you name it. No lie the only reply I get back is "so you want to know how to install new firmware". Amazfit gtr 4,Huawei gt 4 both get updates new faces blah blah blah.

Get the Huawei one, at least no NSA or CIA spyware...

Xiaomi make tons of stuff across so many fields, incl EV's. Occasionally a flaky product may surface but overall I like their stuff. Their high end phones are up there with the best. But as with any product, read the reviews. Never buy anything that has not been vetted by reviewers or multiple consumers. Spying? Aside from google, MS and countless others you mean? I refuse to live a paranoiac life and will not be swayed by anything even if its reached DEFCON 1.

We all make our choices based on what matters to us, no paranoia needed.

Tbh I like the idea of watches. But I want to follow all sorts of parameters and rings are way better for that and comfy.
