Can't wait till it's price is lowered here in Holland. It's a good affordable 4k Blu ray and media player all together. Oh, and before I forget you can play games on it. 😛 Series X would be around € 367 if the currency is calculated correctly.

I have both the X and S and the later is such a great little bit of tech, allowing you to play all the games at 1080p and usually at 60 and even 120 fps, but also in these insane times of cost of living and world wide energy bills crisis, the S only draws up to a max 70 watts, while 50 watts seens to be the norm for most games, so it is also one of the most eco and utility bill friendly console out there. And just as a comparision, series X and PS5 running say Borderlands 2 TPS draw 110 watts, while on the S it never breaks 50 watts, Skyrim on the X and PS5 draw 150 to and 170 watts, while series S draws 70 watts.......so the lekky savings will keep the bill payer very happy. Ha Plus just as a side note on the PS5 efficency, this also has some nice lekky savings for ps4 pro enhanced games running on the PS5, so a game like Skyrim vr on the ps4 pro will pull between 150 and 170 watts, while on the PS5 will pull only 107 watts, Dirt rally vr on the ps4 pro again 160 watts but on ps5 that drops way down to 98 watts, HDZ on pro pulls a stunning 190 watts at times, while on the PS5 it tops to 140 watts and below......oh and as added bonus no more jet engine ps4 pro fan sound effects. Lol So these modern consoles are all actually really good when it comes to being way more powerful but being way more power efficent than the last gen consoles.

I don't know who the Xbox is marketed toward. As a PC gamer I love we get all the exclusives same day and date - but from a business perspective it doesn't make sense as it removes a whole category of gamers who might have otherwise purchased the system. The you have another group of gamers that are Playstation only. It just feels like Microsoft shrunk it's market with being so readily available of PC. Which again - is appreciated by the pc gamer in me, but again, confusing in a business perspective. Having several of your exclusive be mediocre at best or just complete crap in 2023 doesn't help things. Redfall was a dud. Starfield didn't meet expectations of most. Halo MP just finally got completed after 2 years. I can see why Cloud gaming is becoming their focus. They're slowly becoming Sega with a long term plan on how to get their software into as many hands as possible. They see the writing on the wall. I don't see a console from them after this one personally. Especially after announcing no plans for a mid cycle refresh.

This generation, only Sony and Nintendo. There is no reason for Xbox if you have PC. No exclusives = no reason to buy.

SX is a fantastic prem console, but do not wait too long as the supposed revision of the SX has no optical drive, so if yoh want the all singing and dancing version then grab it before it's gone.

I bought Series S last year for 199€, I played some exclusives like Gears of War saga, Red Dead 1, is small so easy to transport to another place and possible to continue some of the games that you're already playing on GampePass or PC. But I do not see the point of Series X if you already have a good computer for recent games. I also got a cheap second hand One X but for delisted digital games like Forza Horizon 1, 2 and 3.

MS did a lot of right things this gen, like better hardware, support for games of older Xboxes gens and more. The (big) problems seems to be the lack of exclusives to drive sales, the opposite of PS5...

Well here in the UK just today the SX is on massive sale all over the place, which leads me to believe that we are seeing retailers getting rid of the last of the present disc version of the SX, before the revised all digital version replaces it, so better not wait too long now, grab it before its gone. 😉

I was checking prices and one of our retailers have Xbox Series X for 389€ with Forza Motorsport included. Not bad.

Maybe M$ plans to eventually turn the xbox into a fully functional PC at some point. Then they could try marketing it to more than just gamers. Can you imagine going to work somewhere, and all the PC's are xbox. I know it sounds far fetched, but with the rise of mini PC's, it could happen.

I just saw that Dead Space was on gamepass, so i gave it a try on the S, and my god does it look stunning, the new level of detail is fantastic, the suit looks so great and highly detailed, but the new lighting effects are just phenomenal, i can't believe a 250 quid console is throwing these kind of visuals about like it is nothing, a very good remake indeed.....as much as i hate to say it, well done EA. Lo!
