Just heat gun the sticker surely and only lift it up on one of the plastic halves.
Surely you cannot just straight swap the HDD though, I bet Microsoft will never release a formatting tool or whatever it would need.

X1 and PS4 don't support external drives yet.
Also, straight drive swaps didn't work in the 360, I doubt it would be the same here.

While X1 will have it game installs and all with usb 3.0 drives not yet but next year. Sony blatantly have said they have no plans to support as of yet maybe never.

i put an ssd in my 360...
logic would dictate that with near 50gb mandatory installs on ps4 and x1 external hard drive support will have to come eventually. microsoft probably just doesnt want people ****ing up inside their x1 and have to deal with tons of extra returns. there is a usb 3.0 port on the side of the x1 so i would imagine they would want you to use an external drive in there easily instead of taking apart the system.

Nah, SATA to a connector thing, basically an L connector.
Can take it apart and replace with another xbox hard drive (as long as it's formatted right).
I took my 60GB out the case and put it into my xbox 360 S, don't even need a converter for that (though you might want a caddy).

The PS4 is faster, cheaper and you are free to replace the hdd without voiding the warranty...i know what i'm going to choose

Btw... have you bothered to look at both consoles head on, like you'd see them in your living room? They don't look much different.
And to be honest, the last thing I would want is some flashy looking console disturbing the good looks of my Harman Kardon AVR 3700 receiver. Components should blend in, and not distract especially in a completely dark room watching a movie.
lastly, i don't have a dog in this hunt and don't plan on buying either since neither console has the power to play ALL their games at 1080p without heavily sacrificing LOD and texture quality like the PS4 version of Battlefield 4. God it looks like hell.

The wobble of course being an immense issue. After all, when buying a new console how can a person possibly stop themselves from sitting next to the thing and prodding it? The PS4's prodding performance is a disgrace!
