Blizzard are desperate to get anyone to play it, their last advertisement for WoW was huge, they called it Diablo 3. It seems they emailed everyone who played D3 offering them the entire WoW Battle Chest for free + a 30 day subscription. I need to unsubscribe from their email list so they stop sending me such junk spam. I always knew they intended D3 to be a massive failure then they would invite everyone to WoW, it was obvious from the start they were trying to make it bad.

My game time just ran out and i cba to renew it now, played in top 400 guild for about 7 years. The game is ok but theres just no pull anymore for me. Same old same old. Had some wonderful years playing WoW and its prolly the best game of all time but its just not the same anymore, even tho this new content is half descent.

Opinions don't operate on a majority rule. I think it's boring. Deal with it. It basically came down to the repetitiveness and lack of feeling of accomplishment. Get to max level, just so I can do X raid. Do X raid just so I can have 1% chance to get a certain item, and even if that item does drop, I have a 50/50 chance because another party member also wants it. So on, and so forth. I guess I can see the social element of it, but I didn't find that to be worth it.
You're right. Opinions don't operate on a "majority rule". I happen to agree with your opinion....and assessment of the game. I enjoyed the game right up until the Firelands content patch for Cataclysm. That was the point where I seriously began to wonder exactly what the people at Blizzard were thinking. The majority of the content patch was "daily quests".... Where exactly does a set of quests that have to be done repeatedly, over several weeks, give players a reason to come back? The final content patch for Cataclysm came along and I thought "well, maybe they got it right this time...". Nope....took my guild 3 weeks to reach Deathwing. Week 4, Deathwing went down like we were fighting Hogger.... Sadly, it still takes more effort to kill the Lich King, than it does Deathwing... Then came Mists of Pandaria..... the "largest" expansion pack ever created for WoW... at level 89, I'm wondering which quests actually pertain to the story line. I don't really see where killing animals endlessly actually advances the storyline at all. Wasn't even until level 89 that I was finally forced to abandon my Tier 13 Cataclysm epics. To me, there's absolutely no feeling of progression through an expansion, if there's no need to replace gear as you work through it....or if the "new gear" is a major downgrade from the old. Now, the game is boring and provides no feeling of progression at all.... There's just, none... Kill X of this animal....go collect X of this....now go kill X of this animal....collect X of this....kill more animals, collect more, kill more animals....collect more.... That's the entire expansion. Where's the progression through the storyline? I won't be around for the next expansion. I have about a week's time invested in this expansion so far....

they need to upgrade the game engine. visuals r so bad. look at this..a panda as a playable character or what? http://media.blizzard.com/wow/media/screenshots/screenshot-of-the-day/mists-of-pandaria/mists-of-pandaria-ss0156-large.jpg look at the little creature next to it.. looks like a 2002 game.
Thats a major problem with todays games a lot of the time, they focus on eye candy too much and this usually means short arse games with no real skill needed. Give me crap gfx any day as long as the game is amazing. So what WoW isn't the best looking game ever, they've tweaked the engine to its max, even added dx11 features. For a 12 year old gfx engine it looks amazing if you ask me.

Yeah I actually love the graphic style in WoW, I guess i can be upgraded a bit while still maintaining that style - but that's honestly one of the reasons why it was such a good game. It didn't go for that ultra realistic look so many games try but fail at presenting.

The graphics are more than fine, MMO's aren't about graphics. I remember when Age of Conan came out and it ran like ass even on the absolute best PCs. Performance is always more important, no one wants to raid with 20fps. If you compare WoW back in the day to now it looks much better, they're always improving the engine.

The thing with WoW is all screen shots make it look awful. When you're playing with settings cranked up it's a lot better. That panda is wearing lowbie gear thats been in the game a long time. If you put it side by side with the latest models and even from the last couple expansion packs the textures and model quality is MUCH better, and that raptor next to him is TINY in game, and theres hundreds and hundreds of little companions like that 🙂

WoW was intended to run on an extremely wide range of hardware. It would be difficult for it to run on 10 year old hardware, if it had the graphics level that so many on this forum want....
