My question is, if i have the windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit, will i be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, or will i be getting a home edition as a free upgrade?

I highly doubt Microsoft wants another backlash from its userbase. So if you have windows 8.1 pro, then you'll upgrade to windows 10 pro.

I'd like to see feature comparison graph to decide if I want Pro or Enterprise.
Regarding upgrades, in the past it was home to home and pro to pro. I wouldn't expect it to go any other way.

Considering the article says Pro is also free for qualifying version upgrades, it must be from Pro to Pro. Otherwise nobody would be able to get Pro for free and it wouldn't be listed at all up there.
Which is a good thing since I feel more pro by having Pro on my desktop.

Are they going to have an 32-bit version of Windows 10? If so, why? Because it seems as thou every processor made today is an 64-bit processor and it would be an waste to make an 32-bit version.

Far too many 32bit only machines still kicking about, likely in enterprises, same reason they still support XP for businesses that request it
MS goes 64bit only, they lose a big % of their user base

So from what I understood I'll need a hardware upgrade to be able to run Win 10. I have a p55 mobo with a classic BIOS (not UEFI). I'm researching my options, albeit grudgingly, as I'm pretty satisfied with my current setup. Could someone please confirm this.

Really? Please let us know vidra. I was wanting to try win10 preview on my old system as it's sitting around doing nothing. Its a P55 i5 750 @ 4.0GHz since the week I bought it. Runs at 4.2 in the winter, but too hard to keep it cool in the summer at that speed as its borderline high, but good at 4.0.

I have win 7 Pro OEM 64 bit.... I want a copy of Windows 10 Pro 64bit OEM.
I will NOT do an upgrade...I will only do a full new install but I should be able to get the OEM ISO for free since I have the Win7 copy. I need to see details on how to do this but its not really coming out.

So my question is where is the gaming version? You know the one that will not have processes running in the background you don't need to game. Also a nice flashy gui and maybe built in steam /origin plugins directly into the gui would be nice.

I don't plan to upgrade until at least six months to avoid bugs.
Unless a game comes out that really shows the difference with DX12.

It does what I need, after upgrading to 8.1 quite a few times I found myself going back to 8 due to some nonsensical changes in 8.1... 8 still receives updates, it's not like it's a dead OS haha.
Just curious if I will be able to upgrade to 10 from 8, or do I have to upgrade to 8.1 again to upgrade to 10.. It was a pretty simple question I thought.

If you can go from 7 to 10, I don't think you will have an issue. It's based on your key.
