Settings is the new control panel, and WU is there just like the old classic control panel
http://i.imgur.com/r3XNDi8.png
What a pain of a image you posted. It is hideous thing. I am now happier that mine looks like this:
http://i58.tinypic.com/12337t5.png
You may wonder about W7 there, it is consequence of Classical start. I'll rather have to go for one option to start menu (classical W7) than to look at CP (and use) like that.

Where's Windows Update in your screen though?

Just download a screen that you like and use that. God knows no one uses windows ground settings anyway. Why all the hub bub about w-10 when you can change your puter to show anal warts popping at start up if that's your thing, or maybe a video of a chronic whiner complaining about windows this and windows that and have his head ripped off by a Mortal Combat character at start up, and then a picture of that whiner in a tutu pointing at what ever folder you need to open as the regular desktop? No need to use w-10 shell, so no need to caw about at nauseam.:puke2:
troll are trolling whatever they have installed or not (most of the time without installing to check if rreal roots troll lol). On top of that W10 is really "windows of choise" like a sashimi you choise what you need and fit the best your hardware. but after some use it is true that this version seem to be more unstable than previous one... but it is only beta 🙂

Same old rubbish file requester. Same old rubbish Explorer window. I mean it's a joke at this stage. They can change icons all they like but they haven't actually improved the main functionality at all in donkeys years. I mean I had much better versions of "Explorer" functionality and the file requester 25 years ago on my Amiga 1200 FFS!!! I couldn't believe how bad the functionality was when I went from A1200 to Pentium PC all those years ago and I can't believe the same **** is still there now. It's a classic case of the PC heads and the younger crowd not actually having seen anything better in their lives so presume this is the standard...

Annoying, stalking, intrusive, overcomplicated... Still: -You cannot deactivate web search when you search you computer in the menu. Its super annoying, useless, intrusive, clutters the screen, and it gives priority to web search over PC search. -You cannot uninstall or remove the useless addware included by Microspyware. All you can do with (uninstall) is to remove their icon. Bing travel, bing finance, bing sports, bing health, bing food and drink… it all uses many gigabytes of expensive SSD, even after you “uninstalled” the addware. The worst offenders are the many “infusedapps” folders. You cannot remove Onenote, and nothing of the spyware Cortana. Can’t touch the spyware that spies you trough your microphone and camera. Windows 10 license explicitly says that MS gets the right to record you by any means, and use those recordings for any purpose, and that is not just for the Preview license, because is necessary for the spyware Cortana (and others) to work.

I tried to give Metro and its 'apps' a try but I couldn't really stand it. Not only was it unnecessary (really, you need to take me to an entirely different screen when I only want to click on one item or search for it?) but the default apps were the worst. By default it opened PDF's in some app that basically took your entire screen. Really? You didn't think I'd want to multi-task, you'd just go straight to that? I don't even.

Welcome to everything 'Metro' / 'Modern' Why they thought we needed huge colourful tiles instead of icons I'll never know Designed for touch is not an excuse, Android /iOS is designed for touch, they use normal icons

I'm really amazed at how many posts are for the old windows start screen...You really feel it's necessary for something to take over your ENTIRE screen just because you were trying to open some other program up? Why? it's not necessary. When i want to go to control panel, i want to click the start button, and hit control panel. That's it. And i want control panel to appear as a window i can move around and still use everything else i'm doing aswell. I DON'T want to hit the start button, have my entire screen be hijacked, to then press control panel, and some BS simplified nonsense show on my screen taking over my entire screen. Could i bypass that by putting icons and folders on my desktop? sure, i guess, but i'm not into cluttering my desktop with tens to hundreds of icons, not when the start button has most everything i need in it already there ready for me without much need to organize it myself. And thankfully, unless they have decided to can this idea too, i will be able to disable the horrid "squares" and just mostly have the start button back...

You will still have them squares to the right, plus a horrid start menu, it's pure ****e. In my case, Start8 will be on Windows 10 as well, I want to sort and customize my start menu, want it to be free from uninstaller, readme and other shortcuts that I don't use, plus have some things in logical subfolders. Windows 10's start menu completely fails to deliver just that. Besides that, are there really that many people that use a lot of them apps on their PC? I love them on my Windows Phone, but rarely using those 3 that I use on my PC. Plus those fugly Windows 3.1 wannabe icons... what's up with that?

I don't think anyone wants full screen control panel and if you do that already optional. What I want is for the full screen start (which they already have as an option in Windows 10) to behave more similarly to the one in 8.1. Which is what other people are asking for. You get the option now, and I want the option for full screen to be better. Why is that an issue for you? It shouldn't be. Currently on a Surface or any touch screen Microsoft tablet, the start menu even in full screen is horrible in comparison to 8.1, because the full screen mode is garbage.

Please someone could tell me if the ASUS Xonar drivers works well in W10P?
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/206/206288.jpg
I personally like stock 8.1 as it is, so not a huge fan of the what i've saw of 10 but i'm sure i will get used to and eventually prefer it as i always do. Start8 etc... are pointless to me as i do everything via the keyboard so have zero use for a start menu/screen, though i do think the new start menu with the old style and live tiles looks nice, while the overall aesthetics of the OS is cleaner and not as garish as Vista/7/8.

I use UNi Xonar drivers and those work well.

Personally I'm okay with the simplicity look Microsoft is going with. Windows 10 looks awesome how it is now!
