And so the ridiculous naming scheme begins again! By 2025... New WiFi 6.275.4ehgd at the 6.1465ghz band. On a more serious note. So this requires entirely new routers and end user devices, not just firmware updates, right?

compared to 5G which is planned above 6Ghz mostly (at 26/28Ghz?, planned up to 39Ghz) https://www.gsma.com/spectrum/resources/26-ghz-28-ghz/ ... cmiiw so if people saying 5G is safe, then this no need to mention about its safety 'till it cause some issue with themselves or environment, then people themselves will uproar about it... human history been like that rinse and repeat

I'm not sure if it will be of any use in denser settlements, because if most of the ISPs migrate to this technology, there will be some insane crosstalk just like it is with current 2,4 and 5GHz frequencies.
