Not sure how they want to fit that many different environments without sacrificing story time itself. Unless 1/3rd of trailer comes from one episode where character remembers things from the past.

Someone should make a Westworld video game in the style of Fallout 4, with an AI system like S.T.A.L.K.E.R where the AI system keeps simulating interactions between AI even when the player is not around. Just like in Westworld, a fake world inside with fake synthetic humans, being controlled by humans hidden on the outside. Maybe the player's character is a synthetic human? https://i.imgur.com/xY0m4cL.gif

Hopefully they don't screw it up with too much of today's modern garbage and keep it western.

I hope they have not lost the core principle of the show and keep it in the amusement park. If they venture beyond this boundary then it becomes just another show about robots living amongst us. That's not to say it won't be a great show, I'm sure it will be. It just won't be 'Westworld' anymore will it.

If their "Robots living among us." was translated to "We've ridden ten miles and all we have seen is blood." I am all in.

I found myself getting kinda bored of the characters by the end of season 1... Everything felt so slow about halfway though the season, and I felt the dark undertones hurt the atmosphere rather than boosted it: i.e. I felt like the complacent synthetics were always on the brink of raging out and killing any nearby human, but it never happened. ...It eventually became irritating to watch, but I finished it anyway.

The first season was a truly awful, gimmicky piece of drivel. It wasn't even good sci-fi as this is precisely the opposite of the virtual reality-driven future that we will encounter in our lifetime. The lead actress is and always will be gorgeous, but that's not enough to justify doubling down on a new season of this boring POS.

Oh, how opinions can differ. I simply could not get enough of the entire season 1. So many layers, so deep. Gimme moar!

Story is slow, that's true. But why would you like to force your SF view on Virtual reality of tomorrow into SF world where reality is manufactured and so Virtual is not needed? Anyway, Westworld is more about giving viewer opportunity to think than consume. That's huge contrast to popular Action/SF of today like Avengers, where story is blunt and it is all about effects and action.

First season was awesome, although I felt there was a little too much rambling at times. Still worth a watch! Hope the second season is just as good as the first and they don’t go too insane with things.

Ditto, after the loop reveal on the first episode I was hooked! Looking forward to S2, might rewatch S1 before then

i thought ed harris' philosophical faceoff with anthony hopkins in the bar was a laudable chunk of acting. its not mind-bending stuff, but i found plenty of the monologues to be grounded in a base intelligence thats sorely lacking in most of todays media - which is heavily preoccupied (or even perhaps consumed) with simply appearing clever instead.
