Well, steam already has broadcast function for a while now : https://steamcommunity.com/updates/broadcasting Any steam user can start streaming their game with single click. Issue is, it's only screen capture, so I don't think I can add my webcam stream to it. They better have Gaben icon/emote, otherwise it's useless.

Neither did I, but then again there exists people for decades now, when they sit for hours and watch sports on TV, so I guess it's not that different in a principle.

You obviously don't have to donate money. So it's no different than watching a TV show or sport, while being able to express your emotions in chat for all. So it's not just watching someone play, but rather being able to participate in chat and give advise to streamer or joke around and just have fun. And with above streamer creates community around him or her, which people follow. People who really enjoy specific streamer tend to donate money, cause they want the show to go on and improve. I recently enjoy watching They Are Billions on twitch. Some players play on ridiculous difficult levels and it's really fun to watch someone doing nearly impossible pushing the limits of the game.

That explains why I don't have a TV.

Valve can't even get the mics working properly in their Dota 2 TI8 streams half the time. And that's with a 24 million dollar budget. I doubt they'll be able to manage an entire streaming channel without completely frakking it up. They should just stick to what they do best - encouraging children to gamble in their hat casinos.

I don't have TV neither. Hate that 1-way propaganda. Twitch is basically a place to chill and chat with people about game the streamer playing. I didn't understand it before, but found it rather enjoyable once I found a good community and streamer that played and interacted with chat very well.

It's the same concept as watching a sport. People watch those playing something they enjoy at a level they can't reach themselves.

This, every international they had has been a disaster for anyone watching it through the streams. And frankly the line about gambling hats seem to be the case. Because of the government outlawing some form of online video game gambling here in the Netherlands Valve decided to just ban all dutch people from opening crates. They added it with an statement that puts the blame on the government and not them such as; "we tried to come to a solution with the dutch government but couldn't" and etc... They constantly pit the community up against whatever their obstacle is, it pisses me off. Valve did this aswell when the whole paid mods fiasco happened, gabe apparently responded in "surprising dumbfoundedness" "I just came back from etc etc and just now I have heard about this and be sure I am mad." Its all some stupid fucking charade to ensure we are always on their side. I don't like to be manipulated or pushed into opinions, if i'd want that i'd just go to a psychologist.

Oddly STEAM always ask me my age before I go to the games store page to view a game. Never really cared and have had STEAM for over 10 years and I'm 33. It's really annoying and it does this like 90% of the time. Going back to the subject, I feel pressure on STEAMS side since a new company has emerged and recently said they want a piece of STEAMS market share.

Remember when friends would get together to watch from the same TV? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I have to pay too watch someone else play games? Well if they pay me to watch them play then I will consider it haha. Boring. Valve is something else those are racking in Billions of dollars and still not satisfied. I read alot about them and how they practice bad buissness and treat employees like Trash,Considering they make there money off-of gamers like us I would like to hear about them somehow giving back to the community for a change. We made them who they are today how about a little respect? Throw some free games out once in a while set-uo some kind of gamescom type og deal yearly....What they cant afford it billions of dollars they make? Thats just pure Greed I hate that shit. Excuse my language.
