If you plug 2 USB devices into the same PC, it's possible for 1 to steal data from the other or the system itself. What makes this any different? If you plug 2 devices into the same internal or external hub, it's still going through the same PC and thus, the same vulnerability exists. In either case, it's going to take a "malicious device" to capture the data.

How do you install a keylogger on a hub? To my knowledge, no code actually runs on a USB hub.
