Hi Hilbert,
would it be possible to also benchmark BF4 with new update on Nvidia cards? Am just wondering whether frames will not drop for Nvidia users just to make the mantle show up bigger difference in framerates.I know it would be very stupid from AMD/EA but you never know to what extremes they might move. Now I personally hope this won't be the case as I am a big fan of Mantle idea despite the fact that am running Nvidia cards at the moment.Thank you

I'm wondering why this test doesnt make on multiplayer, like 64slot server on shanghai and some not so stressful map, that would make sense, single player is not a such a big deal. No hard effects evrything is mostly scripted. And doesnt make sense. Becouse you won't buy GTX780Ti to play single player on Battlefield 4,or any other Multiplayer related game.

Did you even think this through? How do you simulate the same exact sequence 38 times in a multiplayer game? Scripted = Accurate.

What else is new from AMD they are always saying wait wait wait then wait some more.
Its like the airport with them hurry up get here then wait.
I would really have more faith in them if they would shut their pieholes and just do it....it never stopped them before to put a out crashing driver with a new card launch

If those specs are accurate then I actually understand you, apparently the mobile driver support has been rather weak.
(Plus the constant re-branding, I think your GPU is a 7800 series but I am unsure which specific one, probably the 7850 from the name.)
EDIT: With the upcoming APU's though AMD will have to step that up unless they already have, it's somewhat unfortunate that display drivers are so critical.

You obviously didn't read the HardOCP XFX 290X Crossfire review a few days ago if you think this is the only site showing benchmarks where AMD is faster than NVIDIA.
I come to this site because it gives unbiased reviews regardless of which company makes the technology.

lol most likely those type of people are the ones that only go on websites, looks only at the graphs and conclusion (if got that far) and thinks one site is bias over another. If a site is bias (I have seen a ton) they will have a 5:1 ratio for one over the other. Look at the review section you will see that there are a good amount of 7xx cards and a good amount of R9 2xx cards. Anyway stop crying about the drivers, they will come when they come. After its released you know what a lot of people will think? zomg im not getting +50 more fps in games and cry some more.. or just forget anything even happened sigh.

Not like AMD is the only one that delays drivers... nVidia has delayed drivers on quite a few occasions as well. Difference being that nVidia users don't go all ape**** over a driver delay like AMD users do. NVidia also doesn't generally announce driver releases ahead of time either...

Well considering they've already announced my card *280x* is completely off the map in this driver, I have ziltch to wait for anyway. Not that it would really make a difference anyway, im running ultra, maxed out, @ 72fps now, so I get no Mantle, No trueaudio. Im really not sure why I bought an AMD card at this point. Our cards have been completely cut out of 'release dates' by the company that makes them. Lots of power to this card, but none of the bells and whistles. I'm really not too sure how to feel at this point...obviously I have to wait WEEKS now for any sort of exposure to these new tech's. So I guess there's a human here feeling a bit confused on this end. That's how this human is feeling anyway, esp after dumping over $2k into a machine, BASED on an AMD video card and its new upcoming techs. sigh.

Did someone shorten January this year? You're throwing your dummy out of the pram and by my reckoning it's still not February yet.
It's double standards to on one hand slate EA for releasing BF4 too early with bugs and then on the other slate AMD for making sure their driver is working properly rather than push it out with a serious issue.

I thought this driver only supported GCN 1.0 cards ?
IE, not the GCN1.1 cards (Hawaii etc...)
edit : Just saw you're second AMD tweet Trasher, so it should be ALL GCN Desktop cards. Sweet 🙂
Anyway, we've waited this long, i'll happily wait a bit longer.
Its going to take a while to get to some really good improvements, but this is the first release, of a new product.
You have to expect some bugs here and there. They can't test for every single possible permutation of hardware and software. 🙂
