Yeah I call it bullshit. Just like the recent audiophile network switch. And cables with direction.
It's all snake oil. I mean subjectively when you know you've paid a large sum of money for these items you'll feel like it sounds better but objectively it's all the same.
And this is before going in the polemic for digital vs analog and the different masters for the same audio file.

Looks like a scam... They want to filter bits with those capacitors???

Play your digital files (010101) with more clean ( 010101)

Sounds a bit suspicious...

We would get one but all have been scammed already with VGA cards, DDR5 modules etc, thanks.

This is definintly 100% legit
*Glues multiple capacitors onto a GTX 670*
And look, I have a audiophile grade PGU, only 3 grand

As always, only blind tests can tell the truth.

...and it only costs $4,999.99? With the impurity-free, lagless, unicorn-fur-insulated cables it's $7,999.99? Upgrade to the cable-free version for $12,999.99?

The audiophile field is the worst area for snake oil gimmickry. From $10,000 interconnect cables to isolation pucks for amps, the gullible will swear by it until confronted with double blind tests.

Yeah, another scam product trying to play into audiophile fantasy. But with digital stuff, no matter how much current cleaning, isolation or grounding you do, in the end it either reads data correctly or not. There is no in between like with analog signal. And SSD doesn't do digital to analog conversion.
But as with all extremes, in audiophile community you do have people who fall for placebo effect, thinking they hear difference just because they know they are using something. So sadly I do think they will sell at least some of those.

Also it is not clear whether it supports DSD-2048 and MQA-128x.
And balanced output?

Reminds me of the classic Not the Nine O'clock news sketch.

If anyone falls for this i have also some audiophile snakeoil that totally increases your ear reception for a short amount of time!
Only 99.99 per 10 ml bottle!

This "product" is so stupid that I don't even understand how I'm supposed to be scammed by it. Like even ignoring the exposed PCB, the irrelevant of NAND storage for audio, the couple of weak capacitors, and a friggin Realtek chip, they don't actually explain what it does.
Oh, and then there's the fact it's M.2, which makes it harder to work with.
This has got to be one of the stupidest pieces of "technology" I've seen in 2021.

I believe it because i´ve bought recently a new SSD specially designed to meet hot babes online.
The chip is engrained with small particles of passion fruit and it´s coated with a special passion red color that women can´t resist.
And the results are obvious, since i´ve installed my new SSD, i´m bombarded daily with ads of super beautiful models who want to met me so bad it hurts...
So yea, i believe it...

To be fair, some of the audiophile equipment do works, but I think this one is highly unlikely.
kakiharaFRS
honestly placing golden capacitors on things and calling them high quality audio is pretty much what they do on every soundcard so not surprised they tried it elsewhere

It is not 'unusual and very weird'.
It's called marketing.
