I'm still waiting for a RTX3050 8GB/6GB review. 🙂

this enable dlss3 or fsr3/

I was pretty sure DLSS 3 could have worked both on 2xxx and 3xxx series video cards, but Ngreedia decided not to implement this function backward, for greedy reasons.

any free way to test fsr 3, dlss 3 ?

So to lift any confusion that might linger after reading Hilbert's post, what this does is: Replace DLSS3 FG with FSR3 frame generation by replacing the DLSS3 FG DLL with one that uses FSR3 FG, but that fakes to the other DLSS3 code base that it is actually DLSS3 FG (in short it acts like a facade that pretends to be DLSS3 FG while really using FSR3 FG). It also fixes the detection of DLSS3 FG capabilities so that games think that a DLSS3 FG capable card is in use. So this way DLSS 3 FG supporting games work on RTX 20/30 series cards, but the FG is AMD's not as nice variant from FSR 3. So this doesn't magically enable DLSS 3 FG on RTX 20/30 series cards!

I got the mod from Nexusmods, only tested it with Hogwarts legacy so far, but i have to say im impressed of how well it works. Before, i got around 70 fps when inside Hogwarts castle, now im around 100 (RTX 3060 12GB, using the high-preset)

how the picture quality? very close to normal dlss quality?

Wrong title. The mod tricks the game that there is a DLSS card present to enable the option on the menu, but it actually uses the FSR3 frame gen algorithm.

Yeah. FSR3 FG part looks the same as DLSS3 FG.

It also works on older stuff. Pascal and even Maxwell, I think.

In Avatar FSR3 FG works even on rx580.

Natively. I am talking about the mod. But yes technology is open source and caters for older cards in general. Older cards I say. Nvidia do you listen? IT CATERS FOR OLDER CARDS

I guess your post is fake since it's obviously false. No need for you to elaborate.

I think it's pretty good, but IQ is highly subjective. I don't have a 4000 series to compare. I got some bad HUD ghosting, but not much in the game image itself. Other mods do the same thing better IMO, and work on more games, older nvidia cards, and AMD cards too. The mods just give another option to those of us on a budget, which is surely a good thing.

I agree, it looks pretty nice i cant tell any big difference personally

That's the nature of clickbait, I'm afraid. A title like "Modding allows replacing DLLS 3 with FSR 3" just doesn't have the same click potential as a title that implies you can unlock DLSS 3 on non-4000 series cards.

I agree with you that the title is misleading. The question I have though is: Does this only replace the FG part with FSR3 or does it replace every part of DLSS 3 with FSR3? Because the DLSS3 upscaler and ray reconstruction (which work on all RTX cards) are superior to FSR3's version (the upscaler, the ray reconstruction isn't available in FSR3), so if this combines the DLSS3 parts that do work on RTX 20/30 with FSR3 Frame Generation, then it is a useful mod. If it replaces all of DLSS 3 with FSR3 its not quite that useful!

You can combine it that way. Though FSR 3 FG apparently still produces better scaling and frame time variance on RDNA3 cards than on GeForces.
