That's just a peaceful answer of the independent Taiwan to the "peaceful" intention of the PRC to annex Taiwan in the future. And yes, a certain government attitude of a country in the North America doesn't help, but that doesn't mean that you can support either PRC or either that country in the North America...

if anything related to current china (goverment) isnt it because their respond nowdays become so "high-profile" lately ? if i watch news related to china, especially the Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Zhao Lijian in how they respond to the situation, they like make threat to AUS when questioning covid, then to UK related to hongkong, next india conflict, uyghurs now france/canada also joining into the play aswell? with tension already been heating up with US, then also to taiwan, and japan (related to senkaku/diaoyutai island) even some news reported china claim Vladivostok, not sure if it just hoax or not, but lmao some might say this just "world politics" to show/prove who have the (control) power but really the china gov. now is like making enemy with rest of the world lol in current era where each nation related to each other, with same goal (to become more prosper country) it still to hard for human to create equal-peaceful state, and keep going back to "power" (aka control) then the history repeat for huawei product, especially their smartphone as many phone build in china, there are many alternative imo aside xiaomi, those BBK electronics group (oneplus, oppo, vivo, realme) ... many will find those similar (specs/parts-wise) with plus-minus

@slyphnier Don't forget all of the countries in the South China Sea and Mekong River. If you think Australia, France, and Canada are mad, they're happy in comparison.

The biggest mistake of the US was electing Trump who took back the TPP, which was meant to choke China out of the Pacific.
China needs to be downgraded we can all agree, but the U.S has exported in the past few decades far too much of our manufacturing capability and jobs overseas as it is. We don't even manufacture basic drugs. The TPP would have further aggravated that liability even more.

US policy hasn't changed - proxy wars and coups. All of which, 95% of the time result, in even more suffering for the common folk in those countries. US lives by the need to have an external "common enemy". This time, however, it's not USSR or some banana-republic they are dealing with. China is a massive hybrid of capitalism and communism, which they have created themselves. Not only they have tech on par with the western world (or even better in some cases), biggest army and a strong economy - recently they have gained access to resources of Russia.
Thanks to decades of stealing our intellectual property and the myopia of American politicians (both Republicans and Democrats) and the desire of Americans for cheap products, China shot like a rocket onto the World stage. No other nation is as responsible for China's success as the U.S. But now the U.S, and the rest of the World is finally getting wise to their antics. Eventually, China is going to plummet like a meteor just as spectacularly as how they rose to prominence.

It would be funny if China decides to stop production for the USA for the mere purpose of making this change even. I wonder how long the USA would last if that happens 🙄 I bet the US government would face sanity, even if it's just for a moment. I wish this would happen, just so we can see it happening.

You could argue that declaring war against Germany meant that the average German would suffer. Situations reach points where they need to be stopped. The Germans invaded other countries and that's why everyone decided it was time to do something. Like with the Chinese now, nobody gives a crap if a shitty regime commits crimes against humanity on their own people. The USSR is literally no more, that's what happened. The USSR wasn't trade embargoed wholesale, no matter what the internal propaganda might have said. The Cold War was a weird game. This is an interesting read: https://www.americanforeignrelations.com/E-N/Embargoes-and-Sanctions-Cold-war-sanctions.html I agree for the most part, especially what happened in the 60s-90s. I don't agree anymore, honestly. I cannot see why it's better to have "leaders" who are basically populists owned by Putin or the Chinese (like Orban or Trump), and expressimg the will of the "people" who are literally lead by idiotic social media clearly manipulated by oligarchs and dictators. I would rather have any American president over my head than Putin or Xi, thank you, at least he can be eventually voted out. Historically, regimes based on people or specific castes of elites, are easy to topple, even from within. The internal message in China by the CCP focuses always on "stability". The truth is that China is as large and nationally diverse as Europe, and the CCP's power hangs by a thread at places, hence their treatment of ethnic minorities (like the concentration camps they have in their north right now). The more they pose externally to project "strength", the weaker they are internally. This is like political science 101.
Do you realize you have no idea what went on other than what you read/heard, and you are disagreeing on the events with the guy that lives there and has witnessed everything first hand? How in the world do you think you are correct and he is not? That's your western bias, you don't listen and learn, you just push your bias through the wall, and when able, rewrite the history. Right now, US is telling you that spending 20 trillions on the 15 trillion GDP is fine, because printing money is ok, but communism in China is bad, and while they are net positive, unlike the US, US has more money. And you believe this crap. Are you people crazy? No need to answer. I have next to no respect for opinion of western people regurgitating western doctrine. Sorry. Once your "world" hits the decline you will be very confused.

If millions of people suffer, it will be the CCP's doing. The World will no longer sit by idly while China lies, cheats and steals its way to dominance on the World stage.

They'd be hurting themselves more than they'd be hurting us. Also, a lot of production manufacturers in China that ship products to the U.S are moving to other countries to escape the import taxes that Trump levied against China. There are plenty of other nations in Asia that would love to take China's place as a manufacturing hub for cheap goods.

The only people that have witnessed what's happened first hand, are people in government. The rest of us only witness the fall out from stupid decisions made by government and read the propaganda. Yes, some people are crazy. Some people want war. Every time I look on facebook I see calls from so called "patriots" wanting the US to go to war with China, Russia, Iran, etc..... Some people are too stupid/crazy to figure out that war is not the answer, nor is it winnable. Nobody wins in a war. People just suffer and die. It's stupid..... You make it sound as if we haven't already started declining..... The decline started in 2016..... Some of us are just waiting for the edge of the cliff to come..... I'm pretty sure that will be in November 2020.... Too many in the US feed off of death, despair and inhumanity. With all the police brutality in the US, some are calling for MORE authority and LESS accountability for police.... But, if the news reports the truth, they're "anti-american" or they "hate america".... The US is almost as divided as a nation as it was during our civil war. We've basically handed the keys over to the most incompetent government ever elected.

China Build your own shit! Or better yet come over here and steal a copy of our own cpu production just like everything else they stole and reverse Enganired. Sry for my shit spelling lol.

The US bizarre anti Hauwei policy will force China into developing its own chip manufacture, eventually endangering INTEL, AMD, Nvidia, they won't have any interest in complying with any patents. China is already powerful enough with the technical competence to give the big finger to the US or anyone else.

China already has a semiconductor manufacturing company. To know what is it, and why they can't use it, read the article.

It's really not a bizarre policy if you understand how things are done in a Communist country. The Chinese Gov't controls all businesses. Huawei can't refuse to build "security flaws" into their products that the Chinese Gov't can exploit. In the US, companies have a say. Won't be that way much longer, but that is the current state.... The US Gov't is slowly moving that same direction. As long as every country is intent on spying on every other country, things are going to get progressively worse, as they have been. The Chinese want to dominate every market and be the sole world super power. Same as every other country. They don't want a Global economy. They want a single Chinese economy. People in power, always want more power. They rarely concern themselves with the cost. The current US president is no different. He's been trying to push us towards a dictatorship for the last 42 months..... Hope for change in November, otherwise, things will probably get worse long before they get better.....

K.S.:

Court documents show the US department of state, CIA and NSA were conducting a mass surveillance operation on but not limited to the following countries: China, Russia, USA, United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Australia. So including ourselves & some allies too without individual warrants - the excuse was FISA warrants used as "blankets" for multiple points of mass surveillance. Our Federal courts saw otherwise history showed. Violating established privacy data-sets on a scale considered weapons-grade according to the EU and now GDRP (which didn't exist at the time). PHI, PII, & including but was not limited to data mining of bank statements, passport records, location information, cell records(sms/audio), credit reports, social networking accounts, and more. Point a finger at someone else - there are five pointing back at you
Yes the U.S gov't aren't angels by any means. They've committed many crimes and injustices themselves, but they're not unrepentantly wicked like the CCP is. In today's times, information is power. All nations spy and collect information on not only other nations, but even their own citizens. The question however, is what do they do with that information and power? The CCP by all account actively attempts to steal IP from other countries in order to advance China, manipulate their currency to give them the advantage on exporting their products, foster unfair trade deals and they have what is inarguably the greatest mass surveillance system in the entire World to suppress the freedoms and liberties of their own citizens. As powerful as America is, it hasn't abused its power in the way that China has, and continues to do.

Lots of whataboutism and CCP boot licking going on here. Shameful. I guess techy and nerdy people aren't always well educated and intelligent.
