It should also double as a smoke detector because it looks like one.

I have one of these at home, the EAP 660. Its huge, but provides exceptional WiFi coverage for a two story home, ~2000 sq ft. I had an Ubiquiti AP before this, the UAP-AC-PRO and over subsequent firmware upgrades it started performing worse and worse. TP Link doesn't post as many firmware updates, and they arbitrarily release new hardware versions and then stop providing firmware updates to older versions, but over the past 6 months this AP has been way more stable than the Unifi AP.

I'm also disappointed at the lack of firmware updates on TP-link products. I've currently got an Archer C9 and it's about to get replaced by probably an Asus RT-AX68U. I say "probably" because i'm considering moving away from consumer wireless routers and buying a Netgate or some other mini PC, installing PfSense, and adding a switch and 2 AP's.
